Which liquid absorbs more heat? Why?

The specific heat of methanol, CH3OH, is 2.5 J/g degrees C. Suppose you have 100 mL of water at 15 degrees C in a 200mL beaker, and 100g of methanol at 15 degrees C in an identical beaker. You heat both liquids to 45 degrees C. Which liquid absorbs more heat? Why?
